Does everyone have a look-alike?

The idea of a doppelganger has inspired many works of Literature. Though it sounds irrational, scientists say there’s a fairly decent chance of most of us having a look-alike somewhere out there because of the limited number of genes that influence facial features. Humans are not that genetically diverse and that explains why there can be random combinations of similar features. But that doesn’t mean your look-alike will be an exact duplicate of you. For instance, doppelgangers might have the same smile, but different eye colour; Same nose, but different eyebrows and so on.

A Canadian photographer Francois Brunelle set out to photograph doppelgangers around the world and he succeeded in tracking down 200 of them in his 12-year-search.

With over seven billion people in the world, there is a possibility that someone out there looks so much like you.
