What is the difference between asteroid, comet, meteoroid and meteorite?

Asteroid: Asteroid are space rocks that orbit the sun. they are too small to be called planets, and hence are called minor planets.

Comet: A Comet is a relatively small body that orbits the sun. it contains ice and gas. As a comet’s orbit takes it towards the sun, the ice and dust begin to vapourise, displaying a fuzzy outline called the tail.

Meteoroid: When an asteroid collides with another, it breaks into small pieces called meteoroids.

Meteorite: If a meteoroid enters the atmosphere and falls to the surface of the earth without vaporizing, it is called a meteorite.
