Gensou Hyouhon Hakubutsukan (Museum of Fantastic Specimen) is an online collection of creatures “curated” by Hajime Emoto. The three-storey virtual museum consists of nine rooms filled with water and land dwelling monsters, demons, and dragons that look so incredibly real, it’s hard to believe that they are sculpted from paper, modelling paste and bamboo. The basement contains a bookshop and a cafeteria that serves dishes prepared with some of the creatures featured in the museum.
