Which is the smallest deer?

The smallest deer in the world is only 85 centimetres long! The pudus are the smallest deer in the world. There are two species of pudu: the northern pudu and the southern pudu. The southern pudu can grow only 32 to 44 centimetres tall.

Pudu is a solitary animal. It is so secretive that zoologists still do not have much information about its behavioural features. These animals are commonly found in South America. The northern pudu is found in the northern Andes of Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru. Both the northern pudu and the southern pudu have been declared endangered species.
