Which was the biggest meat-eater?

Tyrannosaurus rex (T. rex) is usually thought to have been the biggest meat-eating dinosaur—and the biggest land-living carnivore ever to have existed. It was about 12.3 m long and weighed about 7 tonnes. No one is quite sure why its front limbs were reduced to such a tiny size, with only two claws. The limbs were so short that they could not even reach the dinosaur’s mouth, so they were not used in feeding.
