Where did dinosaurs build nests?

The first dinosaur nests were discovered in the 1920s in the Gobi Desert, proving that Protoceratops was an egg layer and nest builder. However, it was not until the 1980s that a huge number of nests and hatchling dinosaurs were uncovered in Montana, USA. These remains were of several types of duck-billed dinosaurs. The area where they were found had originally been on uplands, probably because this was a less hazardous environment for the young than the low-lying areas where adults spent most of their time. The layers of nests and eggs showed that the dinosaurs migrated to the same nesting site every year.

Were dinosaur eggs buried like those of a turtle?

The eggs of Protoceratops have been found laid in nests in the Gobi desert. The eggs were arranged in careful circles, in layers. Presumably the mother dinosaur turned herself above the nest as she laid each egg.
